DATA ANALYST

As an important member of the Marketing Sciences team you will work with the analysts to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data and models. Daily duties will include onboarding new clients, ensuring data is loaded into models in an accurate and timely fashion, and testing and tuning existing models to ensure they maintain their accuracy.

 

Other project based responsibilities will enhancing and developing data visualization tools, assisting in ad hoc modeling and analysis and sourcing new data sources for understanding seasonal and competitive impacts across multiple types of businesses.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and analyze data trends and data abnormalities so that it can be accurately processed.

  • Proactively identify issues in data and perform data verification and validation.

  • Assist with acquiring, extracting, and transforming a variety of data sets.

  • Perform data analysis for ad hoc reports as requested.

  • Collaborate to develop and implement data strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, mathematics, marketing analytics, economics or other quantitative filed.

  • 1-2 years of experience working with structured and unstructured data files. Exceptional recent graduates will be considered for this role.

  • Demonstrated experience with data manipulation and analysis.

  • Proficient in a statistical programming language (R, SAS, Python etc.).

  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, lookups, chart functions), Access and PowerPoint.

  • Strong understanding of relational database and SQL.

  • Ability to detect potential issues with data and determine the best course of action to correct the data.

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

  • Experience in marketing analytics and advertising is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Tableau (or other data visualization tools) is a plus

MEDIA SUPERVISOR

Media Supervisor, Video Investment Los Angeles

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of direct reports that includes media buyers and assistants across multiple clients

  • Maintain the workload of your team, delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure the most productive and effective use of each person’s skills, while motivating their interests and challenging them

  • Responsible for the negotiation and placement of national /local TV, and Cable buys

  • Work closely with the engagement team to ensure client is benefiting from all aspects of the deals being made

  • Handle any client requests – i.e. schedule/budget changes, provide marketplace information, etc.

  • Managing special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, communications or related field

  • Three (5) years of media buying with (3) years in national market required

  • (3) Years managing and developing junior team members required

  • Must be organized, detail oriented and comfortable working with budgets and numbers

  • Exceptional organizational skills, analytical skills, and be detail oriented

PLANNER, ENGAGEMENT

TWO NIL is hiring a Planner, Engagement (also known as media strategy/media planning) for our Los Angeles office. The Supervisor is the day-to-day steward on assigned accounts, required to develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of the clients’ business and consumers while ensuring that plans are executed in a timely and accurate manner. The position reports to the Supervisor, Engagement.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Media Strategy

  • Integrate TWO NIL’s data driven planning approach to develop media plans that meet/exceed client business objectives

  • Develop creative and impactful strategies with solid rationale based on insights

  • Use proprietary and syndicated planning and reporting tools to aid in campaign development, implementation and stewardship

  • Assist in the development of POVs on various media in the marketplace

  • Research competitive activity and incorporate (where appropriate) into client strategy

  • Research and analyze clients’ consumer demographics/profiles/media habits and costs

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions

 

Maintenance

  • Have a deep understanding of clients’ data infrastructure and data availability

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the clients’ business and metrics

  • Handle client requests including plan revisions, budget changes, media POVs, marketplace updates

  • Review media buy summaries and ensure they have met buying guidelines before presenting to clients

  • Work with Assistant Planner and Supervisor to maintain media budgets and client billing

  • Communicate and collaborate with internal teams including Activation, Marketing Sciences and Finance

  • Liaise with client’s partner agencies fostering strong integration among all teams

  • Maintain contact and rapport with media suppliers to stay current on opportunities and trends

  • Maintain campaign documents including flowcharts, budgets, authorizations, insertion orders, media schedules, status reports

 

Management

  • Guide the Assistant Planner through the fundamentals of the planning process

  • Delegate (maintenance) responsibilities and check work.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Previous media planning experience is required with a minimum of 2 years and must have independently developed own media plans

  • Experience using syndicated research (MRI, Simmons, Nielsen, IMS, SRDS)

  • Detail-oriented with strong math skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

  • Resourceful self-starter, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work well in a collaborative entrepreneurial environment

MARKETING ANALYST

TWO NIL is hiring a Marketing Analyst for our Los Angeles office. The Marketing Analyst develops actionable insights through quantitative analysis, statistical methods, and innovative thinking. He/she contributes to the delivery of smart marketing and strategic advice through the combination of data & insight. The Marketing Analyst will work across clients to identifying new reporting needs, identify data trends, and propose changes to improve the quality of the information that is processed. This position reports to the Director, Marketing Sciences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ad hoc analysis and data mining assignments dealing with large datasets

    • Utilize SQL, MySQL, Access, R/SAS, Excel, and Tableau

    • Provide details on data integrity and scope

  • Present findings to internal and client business owners

  • Production of campaign reports and analysis, specifically direct marketing such as TV, mobile, display, email, and search

  • Analyze, define, and document business and functional requirements to be used for automating recurrent reporting

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience with SQL, MySQL, Tableau, and Excel

  • 2+ years of experience working with relational databases, data modeling and data normalization

  • Working knowledge of SAS and R preferred

  • Knowledge of marketing mathematical tools and methods

  • Experience in advertising preferred

FULL STACK DEVELOPER

Job Summary: 

TWO Nil is hiring a Full Stack LAMP developer for our Los Angeles office. This position will be responsible for helping build out our Media Buying platform from backend to front end and many things in between.  This position will report directly to the head of engineering.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop REST API endpoints in PHP

  • Create frontend web interfaces in HTML/CSS/Javascript/JQuery

  • Write code to access 3rd party APIs such as Google Adwords, Facebook,etc.

  • ETL job scripting in BASH shell

  • Document the technical details of your work to improve collaboration with other team members.

 

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 Years Experience in Full Stack LAMP Development

  • PHP5 OOP/MVC  (Zend, Kohana, Slim or Other)

  • HTML/CSS/Javascript/Jquery

  • MySQL 5 (good SQL skills a must)

  • Linux experience on Amazon EC2 helpful
